Lakka
The large, deep and very well sheltered harbour of Lakka has always attracted many yachtsmen, and the sight of yachts large and small, from all over the Mediterranean, swinging at anchor on the vividly turquoise water, is quite enchanting. The bay is fringed by beautiful tree-shaded beaches, where the white pebbles give way to gently shelving sand once you are in the water, making this an ideal spot for families with children. Life in Lakka centres on the sea of course, and there are some good restaurants serving fresh fish, but the international influence can be seen in some excellent Italian food too.
