In the original part of the house, the old olive mill, typical whitewashed walls contrast with beautiful beamed ceilings and hand painted furnishings, and provide the perfect canvas for the colourful planting around the pool. The new part of the house affords Rozalejo a splendid space, conveyed through light, airy rooms with high ceilings, limestone floors and neutral tonal décor, finished to the highest standards. The main house is air-conditioned, providing a cooling retreat, however, a warm homely atmosphere radiates though the property reflecting the love bestowed on it during its sympathetic and first class restoration. The expansive terraces lend themselves perfectly to breakfast or evening meals taken with views across the impressive mountain topography that cradles the property. Whilst the newer infinity pool appears to cascade in to the valley below and provides a spectacular spot in which to soak up the Andalucian sunshine, and watch the local wildlife including eagles, bee-eaters, swallows and ibix. |
