| What more needs to be said of a house that enjoys a very lovely mountain setting and has breathtaking views that carry your gaze down across peaceful hillsides to the Spanish coast and on as far as Africa? Casa Monte is a pretty house that looks rather like a tiny group of traditional cottages, with its white washed walls and pale terracotta roof tiles. Set high on a secluded hillside the house has a plant-filled courtyard at the rear, a beautiful covered patio at the front overlooking the lawns, a lovely swimming pool and, of course, those superb views. The interior of the house is most attractive, particularly in the charming living-room, where white walls contrast with the soft blues, pinks and beige of the comfortable seating, that echo the colours of the lovely carpet. It takes only just over ten minutes to drive down to the beaches on the coastline below, and there are of course many fine golf courses in the area, as well as some beautiful walks and horse riding on hillside trails. About 4 kms from the villa lies the old village of Casares where shopping and eating out take on a charm of their own in such traditional surroundings. |
