Le Vignaie, nr Rancolfo

Vignaie is a traditional farmhouse, converted in the last few years by the present owner. Because of its hillside position, the main entrance is on the top floor, leading into an attractive, open beamed living room running the length of the house, with original stone walls, and an American pool table providing endless amusement for guests. Huge French windows let the sun stream in to this charming room with desk and study area, sitting area with fireplace, dining area and kitchen. An eclectic mixture of Bedouin cushions, Indonesian sofas, scattered rugs, Italian cast iron beds combine to make a most charming and cosy home. The cool, stone flagged master bedroom with large, muslin draped (extra long) four poster bed has access straight on to the patio and swimming pool outside.

A natural garden surrounds the house, and the pool is surrounded by a pretty lavender and rosemary edged garden with small grassed area. Le Vignaie is a wonderful family house ideal for those seeking a tranquil spot in which to write, read, paint or walk.
