| Arriving at Capita, through a rather unimposing metal gate and then up a woodland drive, you are totally unprepared for the surprise that awaits you. Walking through an impenetrable screen of shrubs, then down steps into the garden, it suddenly opens out into a vast amphitheatre of beautifully cut lawns bounded by trees and shrubs, straight ahead, is the charming pink coloured house, surrounded by woodland and gardens. Guests love the rather grand rooms, including a beautiful master bedroom suite upstairs. Inspect the pictures, antiques, art and family history of this fascinating country home, then explore the gardens including a swathe of lawn and woodland, a beautiful lawned garden and formal Italian garden of yew, roses and herbs, complete with metal gazebo. A lovely sheltered pool area, with changing rooms completes the scene. Capita is an absolute paradise for adults and those with well-behaved children, who could enjoy a game of cricket or football on the enormous grass lawn. Highly recommended. |
