Podere Isabella, nr Montichiello

Here is the diverse Italy we love, with classical Tuscan hilltown jewels silhouetted against the skyline. These towns are near enough to Florence and Siena but manage to escape the cameras and tourists of the Tuscan trail.

Podere Isabella is very comfortable and imaginatively furnished, entirely in keeping with its surroundings. Large, comfortable pieces of furniture with strong Indonesian overtones and earthy colours blend perfectly with stylish Italian.

A writer would be inspired, working in the charming first floor study with its amazing panoramic views. Bedrooms are particularly spacious, some with breathtaking views. French windows lead outside to the garden and then to the pool area, totally surrounded with aromatic rosemary from where it would be difficult to equal the spectacular panoramic view.

The barn has a very contemporary feel with very spacious communal areas including a 120 m square metre sitting room, very large kitchen and a yoga room.

The joy of Podere Isabella is that nothing is too far, either for a morning or afternoon excursion. The charming hamlet of Monticchiello is only 10 minutes drive, with its delightful open-air theatre productions during the summer. Siena or Florence can easily be visited in a day. Some of the most important wine estates are nearby such as Montepulciano, as are excellent restaurants.

The Barn which sleeps up to 6 is also available on request for an extra cost for groups of up to 17. If just the main house is rented the Barn is closed and not occupied.
