| Le Querce has a lovely feel about it, and its ‘home from home’ comfort very much reflects its delightful owner, who visits her home in Italy frequently. Dating from the 17th Century, this cosy and intimate house has been comforably furnished in traditional, elegant Italian style with many paintings and antiques from the owner’s family home. We particularly like the two separate sitting areas – the summer sitting room with windows opening onto the garden, and the first floor study/sitting area with log fire, ideal for autumn evenings as well as being a quiet haven for relaxation. Le Querce is very private, with a lovely well maintained garden and woodlands. Guests will enjoy whiling away soporific days at the lovely pool area with covered dining area, barbeque, shower, loo and kitchenette - ideal for long lunches followed by long siestas. There is a large kitchen and breakfast table, and Le Querce’s highly praised cook/housekeeper will prepare good Tuscan food for her guests. Located in rural countryside, Le Querce is only a short drive from the fast road to Siena and Florence and within easy distance of the major sights and wine growing areas of Tuscany and northern Umbria as well as the less frequented hill towns and famous vineyards of Southern Tuscany such as Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano. A highly recommended holiday home. |
