La Cisterna, Positano

Steps lead down from the entrance to this hillside estate just east of the centre of Positano through pretty terraced gardens to the large south facing terrace and entrance of this property.

The entrance leads into the kitchen and then to the right to the very pretty twin bedroom. The attractive sitting room wtih dining area is to the left of the of the kitchen and then there is access to the double bedroom. Both bedrooms are of a good size and have either a bathroom or shower roon en suite. All rooms open to the terrace partly shaded with paved area and pretty flower beds geraniums and climbing plants. The views of Positano and the Galli Islands are quite sublime.

The flight of stone steps continues down from the property to the small pool (shared with La Piccola Cisterna above and Torre Sponda) and further down to a semi-private beach.

In our opinion, this is one of our prettiest apartments for four - within easy reach of restaurants, shops in Positano yet in a more verdant setting with magnificent southerly views back to Positano and out to sea.

Note: La Piccola Cisterna for two, is set above La Cisterna - this is therefore ideal as a property for up to six. Due to steps, this property is unsuitable for young children or those with mobility problems. Luggage can only be dropped off at the entrance to the small private estate and cars must be parked in garages in Positano - approximately Euro 20 per day. Air-conditioned taxi transfers from Naples Airport to the entrance of the estate also available - please ask for a quotation.
