| It is an excellent example of the way the owners of the houses at Rou have contrived to merge with great subtlety the old traditions of a Corfiot village with design influences from northern Europe. Light bounces off the all-white surfaces and textures, giving the cottage a rather Scandinavian air, with light-toned furnishings that enhance the available space and allow the exquisite views over the tiled rooftops to speak for themselves. A small plunge pool is tucked into a sheltered corner behind the house along with a neat outdoor dining area and built-in barbecue – the perfect setting for an intimate candlelit dinner. |
