Amid the splendid scenery of the Serra La Coma valley, this old stone farmhouse blends beautifully with its backdrop. Sympathetically restored to retain much of its old world charm and character, the house is comfortably furnished in traditional style, complemented by contemporary comforts... the big farmhouse kitchen, with its fireplace and dining table, is redolent of bygone times. An outdoor terrace bridges the gap between the house and its swimming pool, furnished for al fresco meals and shaded, in summer, with a large canvas awning. The gardens are bright with great splashes of colour from various flowers and shrubs, and an ancient carob joins palm, oak and fig trees to offer natural shade. A broad entrance gate leads you in to this pocket of peace... and keeps out a flock of inquisitive sheep! (Large groups, requiring two houses, could combine this with El Escondite - 100 metres away from Ca'n Xeixa).

| Ca'n Xeixa Where: Situated in an idyllic, peaceful location surrounded by pretty mountain sides, yet only a short drive to the cosmopolitan town of Pollensa, with its historic village centre and attractive bay complete with yacht club.
Why: A great property for those wanting to get away from it all to enjoy some peace and quiet, yet still be within easy reach of local amenities. However with the pleasant terrace and pool area, we would forgive you for spending all your time at this charming property.
Style: This house is decorated in a traditional style found in Mallorca. This makes for a homely feel and allows you to immediately feel at ease and relax. The property also benefits from some modern features with satellite TV and DVD player.
Best Feature: The chance to really get away from it all, and be close to the facilities of Pollensa, means you can have the best of both worlds from this property. Plus the al fresco dining area and good sized pool are a delight. However for us it is the magnificent mountain views that seem to cradle this property.
How Much: Prices for 2008 start from just £1185 for the villa for a week, and sleeps up to 8 guests, There are reduced prices for up to 6 guests staying with prices for up to 6 starting from £1040.
