This eighteenth century property used to belong to a perfume family of the nearby historic town of Grasse. Set in two hectares of grounds home to lawns, olive and fruit tress this house is an enchanting retreat. The terraced gardens are fragranced by Mediterranean plants, and offer a variety of places to relax. On one of the levels you will find a large swimming pool, surrounded by trees and a wall of flowers. Whilst pretty French blue shutters, contrast with the traditional terracotta coloured walls, and the lush green gardens. Inside, and throughout this recently renovated property, many of the original features, such as the beautiful tiled floor, have been maintained and combine seamlessly with modern comforts creating a stylish, restful ambience. The domed ceiling of the ground floor refract the light that streams through the arched French windows, all around the room. Whilst on the upper floor beautiful beamed ceilings stand out against the light, bright decoration. A lovely property in a stunning location, within easy reach of Grasse and all its amenities.

Le Pigeonnier Where: Sitting just outside the charming town of Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, in the Bay of Cannes the house is in a great location for those wanting a relaxing stay yet be bale to get our and explore this wonderful region. Why: This house used to be owned by a famous perfume family of the nearby historic town of Grasse. It sits in two acres of grounds, filled with enchanting gardens, a large pool, and wonderful secluded seating areas in which to relax. The property also enjoys wonderful views, with the vista across Grasse framed by two mature lime trees. Inside the house benefits from large rooms throughout and an interesting 3 storey design. Style: This home is typically charming and French in its appearance, with its rose coloured walls and powder blue shutters contrasting with the verdant surrounds. Inside there is a real sense of space, with the light airy lounge a particularly nice room, with domed ceilings refracting the light that gleams in through the arched French windows that open out on to the lawned garden. Best Feature: The villa has a lovely large pool and the location is fantastic, whilst there is a huge amount of space inside for up to 10 guests. Being able to walk into Grasse to enjoy a fabulous meal and a bottle of French red is also a real plus. However for us it is the amazing views to be had from the house, and the fact that you can bathe in the master suite whilst enjoying the vista clinches it.
